It was just announced at Insuretech Connect Asia (Singapore/online) that dacadoo has won the ‘Insurtech Innovation Award 2021’.
It’s believed it was a hectic application process for the awards this year, as it received countless submissions from leading Insurtechs around APAC and the world, being ultimately whittled down to just six finalists: AppMan, dacadoo, Democrance, DocDoc, Eigen Technologies and OpenLegacy.
The selection process for the Insurtech Innovation award, managed by The Digital Insurer (TDI), was receptive to global Insurtech companies with an interest in Asia, being both startups and established Insurtechs considered. As part of the criteria, TDI also considered how the Insurtechs’ innovation has (or could) impact the industry and any proven results directly derived from their innovation.
The ceremony also hosts the Insurer Innovation Awards, which last year saw HSBC Life as the winner, coincidentally a current dacadoo client, due to their efforts to working towards enhancing customer experience.
Upon receiving the award, Peter Ohnemus, President & CEO of dacadoo, excitedly said, “I’m very honored and grateful to receive this recognition from The Digital Insurer and Insuretech Connect Asia, as it’s one of the world’s largest gatherings of insurance leaders and innovators. At dacadoo, we strive to make the world a healthier place by enabling everybody to reach their full health potential through Digital Health Engagement Platforms, while, simultaneously, allowing insurers to become relevant in the stakeholder economy and the current customer-centric business imperative. I’m immensely proud of the hard-working team behind dacadoo and how far we’ve come in our first ten years as a company. I look forward to seeing how much more we’ll achieve in years to come!”
